This week we read Five Silly Turkeys, by Selina Yoon. This is a fun counting book where five turkeys have a great time doing some very silly things. Emily enjoyed pretending to dance and twirl around like the turkeys.

We have already made a few turkey projects already, but when I went to my friend’s house and saw this cute q-tip painting turkey I knew that Emily was going to make one to go along with this book this week! (Thank you Dawn for the idea!!)

I spread paint out on a piece of white paper and then gave Emily q-tips to spread out the paint. I told her to make it look like the turkeys we have been making.IMG_0267 Emily added a wiggly eye, and painted on the beak, snood and feet.

  6. I am so very impressed! There is no way Anna would draw anything even remotely resembling an actual turkey, and she is quite a bit older.

I am bookmarking the See Saw Ryhme for baby number 3 - it's very sweet.
