Paper Towel Printing

Emily's Paper Towel Tube Print

We have a lot of paper towel tubes saved up so today we used one to make these prints. I got the idea from the book Crafts for Young Children.

I cut a slit in each end of a paper towel tube, then secured one end of the pipe cleaner in the slit and wrapped the rest of it around the tube. I secured the end in the slit on the other side.

Emily rolled the tube in some white paint.

Then she rolled it on the purple paper.

It looked like so much fun I gave it a try too!!!

Fun idea and very different. I guess I need to save some paper towel rolls now.

I like it! I wonder if you could do the same thing with foam stickers and get a design... hm, I might have to try that! Thanks for the idea!

I love the photo where Emily is showing the paper towel tube for the camera. She is such a doll.

I will have to try this one for sure. Thanks for the great idea. You really have so many.

Creating different patterns looks like fun. What a great idea.

I checked out the Homeschool Share website you mentioned in your previous post and it looks like it has some excellent resources in there. My printer will be running hot later tonight! Thank you for sharing this site and thank you for your mesaage of congratulations.

This is neat. Like Sherry's fork painting post that she linked. I need to start thinking about non-traditional uses for things!
