I love all the foods in your tin. The cranberry bears sound great. I will have to look for them.

Hi Michelle,

It’s great to see kids so excited about their meals that they want a picture with it! But sometimes kids can get fussy about what they eat, and when that happens, sometimes it helps to get them involved in helping to prepare the meal. Cooking with your kids is a great way to spend time with them and to teach important cooking skills as well as knowledge about portions. That’s why I work with The Healthy Monday Campaigns, which just launched a new program. The Kids Cook Monday seeks to improve family health by encouraging families to cook and eat together each Monday. Research shows that children from families who cook and eat together often are less likely to be obese, get better grades in school and eat a more nutritious diet. To see more on the benefits of family dinners, check out The Kids Cook Monday site (http://www.healthymonday.org/the-kids-cook-monday/)

We’re looking for blogs and websites to take on the challenge of starting each week with family dinners and post about their experiences each Monday. If you’re interested in participating, please email me at TheKidsCookMonday@gmail.com.
