TOTSchool

Tot School

Our week in TOTSchool

Emily is 33 months old.

We were all sick this week, so we were not able to get together with our friends for Music Class or Art Group. Emily was asking to go to Ryleigh’s house every day. Hopefully things will be back to normal for next week.

Emily enjoyed spending time with Juliette. Juliette is now rolling over and Emily loves trying to get her to crawl!

Emily helped me set up our Nativity. This is the one that belonged to my Grandmother. It is so special to me that we are able to have it, and it reminds me of her every year when we take it out. I was so excited that Emily was able to help me set it up this year. She is waiting very patiently for Baby Jesus!!

Daddy stayed home to help me since I was not feeling well so he was able to our Open Ended Art project with us. We created with Blue and Silver.

I printed these new pattern block pages from the Pre-Kinders and laminated them. Emily had a little trouble with them because the pattern blocks kept slipping, but she did stick with it and eventually finished them. Next time I think I will only put one out on the tray.

We read Rudolph’s First Christmas and made Paper Plate and Handprint Rudolphs for our stART project.

Emily worked on tracing lines with the new worksheets that I created for her. She was excited about using the dry-erase markers. I loved how the page protectors worked with this.

She really enjoyed this Build a Snowman Felt board.

Emily had fun dancing at a friends wedding. We couldn’t keep her off of the dance floor!!

Emily really enjoyed play dough this week. She liked adding the ornaments to this Christmas Tree Play Dough Mat. I loved this idea when I saw it on Our Little Family.

Our favorite books from this week:

  • Rudolph’s First Christmas ~ Rachel Baines
  • Baby’s Christmas ~ Esther Wilkin
  • The Stable Where Jesus Was Born ~ Rhonda Gowler Greene
  • My First Chanukah ~ Tomie dePaola

I love the picture of Emily dancing, she looks so excited. As always, it looks like a very busy week despite being sick. My First Chanuka by DePaola was a favorite here as well.

Thanks for the link on the play dough mat - I printed it off for this afternoon, and did a quick search to find a few more Christmas themed mats - the little ones are very excited about it.

Fun week. (I think we are going to try you felt snowman and paperplate reindeer this week.) Also Emily looks so adorable dancing. Aubrey had that dress last year and I Love it...so sad it doesn't fit this year.

I have been reading your posts tonight, catching up and you are so awesome. I love seeing all that you do with Emily. You are so creative in all that you do with her and in teaching her.

This post has some of the sweetest pictures. I love the one of Emily and Juliette, Emily with the Nativity and Emily dancing at the wedding.

Your blog is so sweet and it's because you're such a great mom!

I like the idea of tracing over the straight line. That might help my little one, I'll have to try it. I love the Rudolph art, and the dancing picture is adorable!!
