Its*A*Ten Sak Saver Reusable Baggie Review

image

Ever since I was little I have been interested in going green, only I didn’t know that is what it was called at the time!  In fact one of my favorite books to read was 50 Simple Things Kids Can Do To Save the Earth.  Although I have not been doing everything I possibly could to help the environment I am always thinking about steps that our family can take to go green.  I was thrilled when Tami from Its*A*Ten offered to send me some Sak Saver Reusable Bags to review.

These reusable snack bags are amazing, Tami was generous enough to send me a  sandwich sized bag and a snack sized bag and they were both the perfect sizes.  I often used plastic Ziploc bags to store snacks in my bag for Emily and Juliette, most of the time they would end up ripping while in my bag.  These are not only so much sturdier, but they also look amazing.  I loved taking them out and using them because of the beautiful designs.

The Sak Saver Reusable Baggie is made of  a cotton fabric on the outside and lined with 100% Nylon ripstop fabric on the inside.  Since Nylon ripstop fabric is only water resistant, not waterproof you can not use these bags for wet items but I found them to be perfect for sandwiches, crackers, grapes and apple slices.  I loved that the Velcro closure went across the entire top of the bag so nothing was able to sneak out of the bag!

As Tami states there is not an airtight seal, and after leaving snacks in the bag over night our animal crackers were slightly stale, although you can not store food in them overnight or for extended periods of time,  they are perfect for lunch boxes, playgroup snacks or day trips.

Finally, cleaning these bags couldn’t  be easier!  You can turn them inside out and wipe off the crumbs or through them right in the washing machine and air dry them.

When I first saw these bags I thought they were a great idea, now that I have had an opportunity to test them out I know that they are amazing and I am totally hooked.  I can’t wait to add more to my collection very soon.

oo what a great product! I will have to look into these. I just started using cloth napkins to help cut down on waste.
