Red White and Blue Tape Flag

Emily's Tape Flag

Emily enjoyed making this Patriotic Flag from white and red electrical tape and some star stickers. I knew that I wanted to make a flag with Emily, however I didn't want her to get board with gluing on lots of pieces. A while ago I was at Home Depot with my husband and saw this package of multi-colored electrical tape, which I had to have! We have not used it since I got it and as I was looking through our supplies I saw the package and new that Emily would love sticking the tape on the paper to make the flag since she absolutely LOVES anything with stickers and tape is a giant sticker!

I cut lengths of the tape and put them on the edge of the table so she could just pull them off. We talked about patterns and how the colors were going to change. She did a great job picking which color would go next.

After she finished with the tape I gave Emily some white paint and a q-tip so she could do the "stars"

Emily was so excited to show everyone her Flag that she made!!

Hi Michelle

A perfect way for a toddler to make a Patriotic flag. Emily did a superb job and I can imagine how much fun she would have had putting this together.

Well done! Cute idea. We've done this before and used star stickers for the corner stars. I like the q-tip idea too.
